Kenapa Solat Menghadap Kaabah?

Bismillahirahmanirrahim..

Tertarik dengan soalan di atas. Soalan ini ditanyakan oleh seorang watak di dalam cerita Dari Sujud Ke Sujud kepada Oki Setiana Dewi. Beliau bertanya kenapa umat Islam solat menghadap Kaabah seperti menyembah Kaabah itu sendiri. Sudah nampak seperti sama sahaja menyembah berhala.

So penjelasan yang diberikan oleh Oki sangat memuaskan. Begini, Islam hadir untuk menghapuskan amalan menyembah berhala. Islam menyuruh kita menyembah Allah, Tuhan yang Satu, pemilik Kaabah itu sendiri. Kita disuruh berkiblatkan Kaabah itu kerana untuk penyatuan umat Islam dan mengelakkan sebarang kekacauan. Cuba kita bayangkan if kita tiada satu kiblat yang khusus, mungkin kita akan bertelagah untuk menentukan kiblat pabila hendak solat. Imam solat arah sini, makmum solat arah sana.
Sebab itulah Allah menyuruh kita menghadap ke Kaabah apabila kita solat.. Kaabah itu telah menjadi kiblat umat Islam seluruh zaman dari seluruh pelusuk dunia.

Subhanallah sungguh setiap yang ditetapkan oleh Allah ada hikmahnya. Lepas ini jika ada yang bertanya, bolehlah kita menjawab sebegitu rupa :)

Lessons from Hurricane Sandy

Alhamdulillah, the power is back!! Thanks to those who worked so far to get the power back.
This Hurricane Sandy gave me lots of new things to learn from. Even though itself was not a very bad disaster to us in Hoboken, however the effects from it affect us a lot. I never thought it would take the whole weeks to recover Sandy. But things happened with reasons.
Here are some of the lessons I get from this incident.
First, prepare yourselves in terms of food, clothes, candles, flashlights and battery phone. At least keep supplies for 5 days, so that if anything happen, you can survive.

Second, when you faced power outage, be calm & patient. I know we will feel depress and stress especially when we couldn’t able to do many works and contact anyone else, but try to manage things in rational ways. Explain things well.

Third, when this kind of this incident happen, try to be apart of the communities. I am a little bit regret when I was not volunteered myself to help other people. I really like to see those people of Hoboken community. Those who have electricity, they will provide extension to let other people use it. Those who have food, they provide free food & drinks for those in need. Those who wants to help would help the rest to cleaning up the streets and parks. They are so nice

Forth, inform people who you know you Don’t make them worried about you. Keep updating what was happening. They all love you, so they really care about you. They want to know how are you doing. So let them know especially parents.

Lastly, think positive and pray. We must know that things happen with reasons. This might be a sign that He sent to us to reflect back ourselves. Have we thank Him on what He had gave to us? Have we become a good person that follows His orders?

Jazakillah khayr wahai akhwati fillah..

Semua orang kita kena buat baik~

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Just nak share this simple ayat.
Allah kate, buatlah baik pada parents, relatives, anak yatim, orang yang diperlukan, jiran tetangga jauh atau dekat, sahabat, musafir dan etc.
Kalau tengok description Allah ni, boleh kate semua orang kite kena buat baikkan :) Allah tak kate buat baik kat orang Muslim sahaja tapi general. So semua oranglah kita bertanggungjawab untuk buat baik.

Time buat volunteer haritu, seronok melihat mereka yang bersemangat untuk mencantikkan Public School 41 di Staten Island. Mereka2 ni adalah contoh orang yang rajin menolong orang lain :) Kita perlu contohi mereka ni...

Dalam usrah haritu pulak , kakakku ade tekankan, bahawa orang2 kita perlu buat baik inilah yang perlu kita reach out. Buat baiklah dengan mereka serta ajaklah mereka untuk mendekatkan diri pada Allah. Amar makruf nahi munkar.

insyaAllah kebaikan yang kita buat dengan mengajak mereka mendekatkan diri kita sama dengan Allah ini, akan menjadi saham pahala kita di akhirat sana. insyaAllah.Takut2 kalau kita tidak buat baik pada mereka, nanti kita akan dipersoalkan di sana nanti.

Celikkan Mata Hatimu..

Alhamdulillah, telah berakhir ISK pada Sabtu lepas.
ISK yang lepas mengimbau kembali kenangan ISK bersama akhwat2 lain di Malaysia 2 tahun lepas.
Ini Sejarah Kita bukan sahaja telah membuka mataku untuk menaikkan Islam tetapi untuk membaiki diri menjadi lebih baik dari semasa ke semasa.

Islam pernah berada di atas dahulu kala. Islam berjaya menjadi WORLD ORDER. Dan tidak mustahil untuk Islam akan naik lagi masa akan datang.

Adakah kita ingin mencipta sejarah atau menjadi sejarah?

Banyaknya buku kat atas meja nih. Semua sekerat-sekerat jalan je baru baca. Kena habiskan nih!!

Orang kate lagi banyak kita membaca, lagi luas pengetahuan kita. Dapat tambah vocab2 baru, dapat tahu tentang sesuatu yang kita x tahu, dapat membuatkan kita berfikir. :)

3. Women Around the Messenger oleh Muhammad 'Ali Qutb

By the end of this year kena habiskan buku2 ini, insyaAllah. 

Senior Year

Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah.
Time flies too fast.
I remembered the first day I was in Stevens. The feeling of being away from my families & friends. But now, everything change. I used to be away from them. But it doesn't mean I am not homesick. I am sometimes.

In these past 2 years, I have met lots of people and learnt lots of things. If I could list them down, probably it would take more than a page. Alhamdulillah, I've become more matured, rational, approachable and independent now.

Less than a year to go. Not much time left. InsyaAllah this coming year, I'll try to use my time wisely.  Do more voluntary work, read books & articles, improve my study, communicate more with the Americans or non-Malaysian, etc. Not to forget, improve my relationship with my Only God, and His creations, insyaAllah.

Hopefully, by the end of my senior year, I will not regret with the things that I have done in the past. Hopefully, when I come back to Malaysia, I will be a good example for my brother and sisters. InsyaAllah.
